Parkway Christian Center
Worship Style

Worship is a key factor in how Parkway Christian Center fulfills our God-given purpose. Our beliefs about worship are simple, but we believe they are very powerful. You will see these principles in action through the lives of our congregation and during Sunday morning services.  These are our ABCs of Worship:

John 4:24 says, "God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth."  We cannot just worship God with our mouths, because songs are not all God requires in worship. True worship begins in the heart.

In the history of Israel, God was always trying to show other people groups His presence and power.  We believe God intended for people from all walks of life, all cultures, and all people groups to worship together. At PCC, we choose a worship style that is diverse and multicultural, so people from different cultures can worship together as God intended. We believe the closer we get to God, the closer we get to one another.

It's no mistake that the Hebrew word for work and worship are the same (avodah). Our worship to God doesn't end when we exit the doors of the church. We believe that worship is a continual act offered up to God at work, at home, and anywhere we go. If all we do is sing songs on a Sunday then all we do is strain our voices.
